Walk into my home with Pinkz Passion

I had been closely following Pinky’s lovely home on social media for many weeks and was delighted when she agreed to share some “never seen before” pictures of her house. Its a breathtakingly beautiful home and more amazing is the ever growing brass collection. Pinky describes herself as A vegetarian Torontonian, pure Gujju at heart, a novice photographer and a passionate decor blogger.

“Being brass the defining element, our home echoes our affection and flair if ethnic and traditional style . Our personal collections are the best candidates for defining our decorative palette.” Its a great idea to show a collection in your house . PITR suggests  a collection makes the home look charming with a lot of character . It could be brass like in this case or it could be vintage textiles – phulkari , kutchi bedcovers … or miniature paintings , anything that  you would want to surround yourself with and will bring you joy.

“Our design style is very much influenced by our upbringing and well-travelled life of my husband.”

” Indian artifacts and hand me downs are always welcomed and well executed in my interiors. ”

“Our signature brass “Ganesha” collection is concentrated together on a shelf in our peacock theme living room, which claims an immediate attention to park you and take a closer look at our precious, rare, unusual pieces of collection.”

What an amazing collection , this beautiful corner would just light up the entire house during Diwali and festivities .

“Being a brass enthusiast, it easily staples my décor mantra in every nook and cranny of our home. The sitar playing brass Ganesha came home from Indian Gurjari Bazaar”

Love the fresh flowers in the background . Would be a great setting in someone’s music room .

“We both are Ganesha aficionados and collecting bug is genetic for both of us.”

“Our family room also truly expresses our love of ethnic and traditional decoratives. Heirloom pieces and traditional collection completes this family room where our everyday unfolds.”

“Décor tales are taken at a top notch at the mark of special festivities in the home. ”

And here is a quick tip from Pinkz to keep your brassware always sparkling : The good old tamarind works best for my brass. Few new pieces are polished in a way that I do not need to bother but rest are cleaned with tamarind pulp. soaking them for a while and rinse it.
